Join photographer Hank Willis Thomas as he speaks about identity and image in his work. Hank Willis Thomas, born in 1976, appropriates images and language from advertising to explore the intersection of commerce and the cultural ambiguity underlying African American experiences.

Richard Misrach is internationally renowned for his carefully considered, beautifully rendered epic works. Coinciding with the opening of the exhibition at the Henry Art Gallery, Misrach will discuss work from Richard Misrach: On the Beach, which hones in on our delicate relationship to the sea. This lecture is co-presented with Aperture West and Photographic Center Northwest. Misrach is represented by the G. Gibson Gallery in Seattle.
